Worsteds
Long wool fibers that are combed before spinning produce a fine, smooth yarn called worsted. Unlike carded wools which retain a spongey loft, fabrics woven from worsted yarns are thin, cool, and lightweight. Historically, worsteds were prized for summerweight garments and sturdy upholstery. We produce several types of worsted fabrics including twill woven Serge, plain woven Camlet, ribbed Moreen, and satin woven Calimanco.
