Best Viewing

Display:  Viewable at lower resolutions, but best with at least 1024x768 pixels and at least 16 bit color.

Download:  DSL or faster.  Dialup will load some photos slowly, and the home page slide show very slowly.

Flash Player is required for home page slide show.  Almost everyone has it, and if you don't, you will be given the option to download it from Adobe.com, which is a trusted site. Tip on Flash shows:  During play, right click and then click Play to stop Play.  This freezes play.  Repeat to resume play.

Font size:  A small change in browser font size setting can make a large difference in the size of the print on your screen.  The site layout looks best with the following proportional font sizes (which you can set right now in this very window):

Internet Explorer:

Click View/Text Size, set to Medium
Netscape: Click Edit/Preferences/Appearance/Fonts, set Variable Width Font Size to 11 or 12
AOL: AOL takes its settings from Internet Explorer, so set sticky values in Internet Explorer.

To make the font size you choose stick for future browser sessions,  set the font size; then close each browser window (if you use multiple browsers) by pulling down the File menu, and clicking on Exit or Close.  Other applications can and do (e.g., Eudora Lite email) change the browser's font size to their own font size.  If you don't have all your network applications using the same font size, then you may find your browser font size changing from what you thought was a sticky value.
